Templestowe Primary School (2004)

About

This multi-purpose hall for the Templestowe Park Primary School has
become essential to the small school community's self-image and identity. Visitors approach the school alongside the new building where a colonnaded canopy and giant portico signifies a formal entrance to the school and its grounds. The building form is based
upon the elevation of a parabola, which was manipulated to most effectively contain the mix of performance and sporting functions.
The east facade is painted to refer to the ubiquitous 'Olympic Strip' exercise books, a memory shared by the Community, Parents, Teachers
and Children.
