University of Tasmania – West Park Masterplan

The University of Tasmania (UTas) proposed to relocate and consolidate its Cradle Coast Campus operations to West Park, a striking coastal headland of cultural, economic and environmental significance to the City of Burnie.

MCR was engaged by the University of Tasmania to prepare a staged master plan and concepts for use and future $30 Million development of the land at West Park. This master plan was used to inform planning for the future development of the West Park precinct as a centre for higher education in the North West of Tasmania. It also informed the retention and development of West Park as an important community asset for encouraging and enhancing a range of creative and community activities.
